No matter what we believe, I think we all have wondered, at least once, what exactly we we're here for. I have a lot! One show choir practice, my choir director kept saying "show the meaning of this ballad with your face." Well, no one entirely knew what to do, and so he had us all take a break, and he showed us a very touching video. It was about a school of juvenile delinquent boys, and those who got good grades had the privilege to play in their football team (the Tornadoes). Because they weren't in an actual school, they had to pratice with limited supplies and not on a real field. On their first game, the competing coach had planned to have all of the parents cheer for the Tornadoes and not their own team. He did this because he knew those boys didnt have parents to cheer for them. For that game, the parents showed that they didn't care about what those boys did in the past, they just wanted to show that people cared about those boys.
As my choir director turned off the TV, he said, "Its not who you knew and its not what you did, it's how you live." The link to that song is right here-----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7HFk6flUOQ
Now, when I sing this song, I will always think of those boys, and their faces when all of those parents cheered as they made that first touch down.
